What We Do/Projects

1. Distribution of Post-harvest  technologies

Suben Investments Ltd is currently partnering with the World Food Programme and Kabarole Research Center (KRC)  to distribute post-harvest equipment among households in Uganda. KRC does the training and awareness while Suben carries out the distribution. this project aimed at reaching out to 4250 farmers so as to avoid post-harvest grain loss. these storage equipment include;  medium metal, metal, plastic silos, super grain bags and tarpaulins.

 

2. Distribution of improved seeds, seedlings, and farm implements.

in 2012 Suben Investments Limited made a partnership with Farm Inputs Care Centre Ltd (FICA) as an agent distributor of agricultural inputs to smallholder farmers in Kamwenge district, up to  2015, over 5000 farmers were served with improved seeds. In addition, Suben made supplies to Kamwenge Local government under NAADs program and supplied over 2000 farmers with improved seeds and implements

Another partner is Partnership with Samaritan Purse, which has worked with Suben in Farm implements supplies since 2014 to date.

 

3. Construction of agriculture-related infrastructure (Household Cribs)

Suben Investment Limited together with Action Africa help Uganda made a contract on 14th December 2012. Suben Investments Limited constructed 3 immovable/fixed maize cribs for post-harvest handling of maize for the livelihood sector.

These cribs were constructed at Mahani, Buguta and St. Micheal. The cribs were 2m wide and 4m long and had rat guards at the posts.

 

4. Distribution of Renewable Energy technologies

Suben Investments Limited works in hand with her partner CAPIDA a briquettes manufacturing organization. Suben Investments Limited does the marketing and distribution of the honeycomb and brooding kits done by CAPIDA.

During the climate for change exhibition, we trained students from some primary schools in Kabarole district on how environmentally friendly it is to use briquettes

5. Consultancy Services

Suben Investments Limited offers consultancy in data collection and analysis, feasibility studies and policy research.

  5. Construction and repair of World Vision Community (Refugees)  Schools  – completed in 2013
  6. Supply of energy-saving stoves in Kamwenge district with Kamwenge District Local Government- completed in 2014
  7.  Construction of household cribs at Mahani, Buguta and St. Micheal in Kamwenge district – completed in 2014
